I relocated from Colombia to the United States at the age of 14.

In accord with this transition much my work concerns the way that signs alter their meaning when placed in an alien context.

Yet although a sign’s significance may vary, the physical mark remains behind and like a scar, a remnant, a memory, it evokes the time and place of its origins.
